Jo utilises her skills and experience to assist workplaces to resolve complaints and conduct concerns and she is passionate about helping organisations develop strategies to encourage a positive workplace culture. Jo has over 20 years' experience managing and conducting a wide range of investigations, including serious misconduct, fraud, policy breaches, WHS incidents and allegations of bullying, harassment and discrimination.
Jo's background investigating breaches of the Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing legislation has provided her with substantial expertise in managing complex and sensitive matters and extensive experience interpreting legislation.
Jo has provided specialist workplace investigation and consulting services to a wide range of industries including the government, not for profit and private sectors and has led a number of highly technical workplace investigations and reviews. Jo has the required insight and analytical ability to conduct in-depth investigations using contemporary techniques while following the principles of procedural fairness in order to determine the facts and make impartial findings.
Jo's qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Government Investigations, an Advanced Diploma in Integrated Risk Management, a Diploma in Work Health & Safety and a Cert IV in Fraud Control. As a WHS/Risk Management professional, Jo has conducted numerous cultural and WHS reviews and audits and assists clients to minimise and manage the risk of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.
In addition, Jo is a qualified workplace trainer and assessor and provides group training on a range of workplace topics, such as workplace bullying and undertaking effective investigations.
Jo is a licensed Inquiry Agent (Tas & Vic) and is a professional member of the Australian HR Institute (MAHRI). Jo is also a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Investigators and Australian Insurance Law Association.
Stefania Fischer is a highly skilled resolution practitioner whose professional interests span the areas of conflict resolution, recovery from trauma and counselling. She has 20 years’ experience working in a variety of organisations to assist in restoring appropriate working relationships and is passionate about helping people reach their fullest potential.
Stefania has a comprehensive understanding of the complex nature of workplace disputes and brings strong communication skills and a sensitive, practical approach to her work guiding discussion and encouraging those involved to find a mutually acceptable resolution to the issues raised.
She holds two Bachelor degrees in community development and conflict resolution from the University of Queensland, and has also trained in facilitative mediation.
As an experienced and nationally accredited Mediator, Stefania has worked conscientiously to support organisations achieve workplace harmony through early intervention such as education to build resilience, organisational culture development, team dynamics diagnostics, conflict coaching and mediation. Stefania also works with clients to identify opportunities for improvements in team functioning and communication.
Stefania holds an Inquiry Agent license (Tas) and works with clients to identify and address inappropriate employee behaviours by conducting workplace assessments and behavioural/cultural reviews. Stefania also provides post-investigation support and debriefing after a workplace investigation, to support team engagement and culture realignment.
